Princess Eugenie is expecting her
second child, who is due later this summer. To announce the news, she shared a
precious photo of her growing belly.
The 32-year-old is already a parent to son
August, who will turn 2 next month, along with her husband Jack Brooksbank.
Today, it was announced that they would be
having a second child. Their young son August is excited to be a big brother.
Whether it is a boy or a girl is unknown.
The second child of Princess Eugenie and Mr.
Jack Brooksbank is due this summer, according to a statement from Buckingham
Palace.
"The family is overjoyed, and August is
eager to take on the role of a big brother.
Eugenie shared a photo of her young son August
kissing her growing belly while announcing the news on her personal Instagram
account.
In the photo, taken by Mr. Brooksbank,
Eugenie, wearing a wool hat, beams as August, wearing a burgundy winter hat,
matching trousers, and wellies, embraces her and kisses her bump as they stand
next to a fence in a leaf-covered field.
We're thrilled to announce that our family
will be growing this summer, Eugenie wrote in her letter. Edoardo Mapelli
Mozzi, her brother-in-law, and James Middleton, the brother of the Princess of
Wales, were among those who liked her post.
The child will be the third grandchild for
Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and will be born 13th in
line for the throne.
Sarah also posted a picture of August
splashing around in a puddle on Instagram with the caption, "You will be
sharing puddles, Augie! Superb news, Granny heaven.... Thank you so much.
" .
Andrew and Sarah are also the grandparents of
Princess Beatrice's young daughter Sienna, who was born in September 2021, in
addition to August.
The good news cheered up the Windsor family
during a difficult time following the publication of Prince Harry's contentious
tell-all memoir and in the wake of the late Queen's passing.
The baby will be born in the year of King
Charles' coronation, Eugenie's uncle, and will be the first of the Queen's
great-grandchildren to be born after her passing.
