How do I use my paystub generator?
When you're ready to do
your financials, the first thing you'll need is apaystub generator. A pay stub is a document that shows how much
money you earned and what taxes were withheld from your paycheck. It also
includes important information like your address, tax ID number, and Social
Security number. Suppose you want to work with a payroll service provider or an
accountant after using Stubsondemand paystub generator. In that case, Stubsondemand
provides you with the best services, and we encourage you to print out copies
of your pay stubs for their records.
I am
creating a paystub
To create a paystub:
- Start by
entering your name, address, and social security number.
- Enter the
hourly rate you were paid for your work.
- Enter the
total hours worked during that period.
Finally, click 'SUBMIT'
The generator will produce a pay statement for you to preview and download as a
PDF. You can also email this document to yourself for safekeeping; it will
appear in your inbox (or spam folder) as an attachment.
The details
you'll need to supply
A good thing to remember
is that you should always have your paystub generator information handy. You'll
need to supply your name, address, and phone number. If you have an email
address, go ahead and include that as well. You'll also want to provide your
date of birth so the application can accurately calculate how much money is
owed to you for each paycheck over a year.
Personal
Information
The next step involves
providing personal information such as social security and bank account routing
numbers (not a check account number). Once these pieces are entered into the
application, it will generate a PDF file that includes all of this information
and any other relevant details such as employment history or taxes withheld
from your income. This PDF file can then be printed out in case it is needed
later on by government agencies or financial institutions like banks or credit
unions, which may require proof of income when applying for loans or mortgages
at some point down the road!
Work hours
The work hours section
is where you enter the number of hours worked each week. If you are paid
hourly, it's as simple as entering the total number of hours for that pay
period. For salaried employees, this field will calculate your total annual
salary by multiplying your weekly rate by 52 weeks in a year.
To enter overtime and
sick time, select "Other Time Off" from the dropdown menu and then
click on either "Overtime" or "Sick Leave." Next, enter the
amount of extra time worked into one of those fields (if applicable) and click
Save Changes at the bottom right corner of your screen.
If you have any other
types of leave—vacation days or personal days off—these should be entered into
their respective fields using the same method as above: select Other Time Off
from the dropdown menu and select either Vacation Days or Personal Days Off
from its submenu before entering your desired amount into its appropriate field
(leaving holiday time blank).
Pay rate and overtime rate
Pay rate and overtime
rate: To calculate your normal rate, first add your hourly pay to the total
number of hours you worked in that pay period. Then divide that sum by the
total number of hours you worked (your normal hours). This will give you an
approximation of how much money you earn per hour.
To calculate your
overtime rate, multiply your hourly wage by 1.5. For example, if an employee
who is paid $15/hour earns 20 hours a week at regular pay and works eight
additional hours on Saturday for time and a half, their gross earnings for the
week would be calculated as follows:
Normal Rate + Overtime
Rate = Total Gross Earnings: ($15/hr x 40 hrs) + ($10/hr x 10 hrs x 1.5) = $800
+ $150 = $950
Deduction details
The deduction details
section lets you see how much money you've been deducted for taxes, health
insurance, and retirement plans. You'll also see how much of your paycheck was
withheld for vacation time and sick leave. Finally, the Other Deductions
section shows the number of deductions not included in the other two
categories.
