A recent survey has found that 75% of Canadians coming back from abroad aren't following the principles of quarantine.

For weeks the federal has asked Canadians entering the country from abroad to quarantine for 14 days - no visitors, no leaving the house, even to urge groceries.

But a survey conducted by Innovate Research Group suggests that few are obeying these rules. Their survey of two ,000 Canadians found that, of the 140 who had recently returned from abroad, 75% had left the house to urge groceries. About 40% hosted guests in their house and 40% had visited their friends' or relatives' homes.

The survey was conducted between 23-26 March. During that point , the govt made quarantine mandatory for Canadians coming back from abroad. Those caught breaking the principles could face fines or jail time.

Meanwhile, the overwhelming majority of Canadians are taking Covid-19 seriously, the survey found. quite 90% reported washing their hands more often, and keeping a social distance of quite 2m (6ft) most of the time.
