Sydney's glimmer parade still a protest at heart

Australia's wildfires regarded an age in the past amid the glitz of Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, however Saturday's celebration delivered the firefighters who battled them together with weather trade activists.

Hundreds of hundreds of people cheered on over two hundred floats as they rolled thru the city's homosexual hub, full of revellers festooned in everything from feathers to body paint.

"It has changed a lot over the time however I think it's miles so critical that we get out as a community and display what's important to us," Hoop Force Australia flow player Kelly Jones said.

Overflowing with inexperienced paper leaves and flowers, her flow turned into jungle-themed and raising cash for the Rural Fire Service.
