GAZA CITY: Thousands of Palestinians have taken to the streets of Gaza to protest in opposition to US President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled peace plan for the Middle East.

Youths set fireplace to tires and burned photographs of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the duration of demonstrations on Tuesday and Wednesday.

But Raed Dabban, 35, stated: “There are exciting aspects of the deal. Our modern state of affairs in Palestine is bad, especially within the Gaza Strip.

“Palestinian leaders should look for answers to reality within the Gaza Strip especially and reinforce the resilience of the Palestinians inside the West Bank and Jerusalem, so that everyone can reject with all energy the concessions that compromise our rights.

“We are on the threshold of a critical level in our political existence and our future, and our residing situations are bad. People cannot rise up without the substances for resilience. This is the position of leaders,” he brought.

Following a phone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas’ political bureau chief, Abbas announced on Tuesday that a delegation from Ramallah could be despatched to Gaza for reconciliation talks. Palestinian diplomat Saeb Erekat also said that a delegation from the Fatah birthday party would go to Gaza next week to fulfill with Hamas.
