The Democratic Republic of the Congo's (DRC) armed force has said it killed an agitator chief in the nation's upper east, hours after aggressors killed in any event 13 individuals in the fretful district.
The declaration on Saturday morning came as the zone reels from a string of late assaults that have killed scores of individuals over the previous month, provoking irate fights this week by inhabitants blaming nearby and global powers for neglecting to ensure them.
Addressing Al Jazeera, armed force representative General Leon Richard Kasonga said troopers shot dead Mouhamed Mukubwa Islam - one of the best three pioneers of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) gathering - during a military activity late on Friday in Mapobu woodland, in the Beni area of North Kivu territory.
"The killing of this pioneer is another sign that we have the ability to end this disobedience in the coming days," General Leon Richard Kasonga told Al Jazeera on Saturday.
"It won't be a simple undertaking as the foe is attempting to turn the [local] populace and conclusions against the military by murdering individuals in the city," he included.
